Back to the Beach
This week my family has gone back for another beach adventure -- this time for a huge family reunion.
Our reunion is filled with babies and toddlers; kids, tweens and teens; new and experienced moms and dads; grandparents and great-grandparents.
Several generations of brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins have gathered here in Sandbridge, Virginia. It's everything a family reunion should be.
Funny thing -- it's not exactly our family . . . . But we're glad to be along for the ride!
You know that question that folks in the South often get asked: "Are you kin by blood, or kin by marriage?" Well, I guess you would say about this family and ours that we are kin by love.

I feel like I should have a hyphenated name now...Moran-Holmes...has a nice ring to it, don't you think?? We're definitely kin by love!
ReplyDeleteSorry we didn't get to say our farewells to you all, but I feel like this blog will be a great connection to all of you!
This blog stuff is new to me. Not sure about the profile...that last comment was from Mary Moran...I'll be better next time, I promise!
