Silly Haiku Wednesday
Poetry slam time again!
Jenn's theme this week is
WATER.
Rain spatters against
the leaves; the wooded path
leads me on toward sun.
The ocean lulls me
to restful peace; then, I can
let the loud world go.
Sometimes -- just sometimes,
I long for a canoe, and
one true companion.
all of them are sooo good. The last one is my fave..one true companion...love it.
ReplyDeleteI concur. These are great, Liz but that last one's killer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI did like the all but number two "Let the loud world go" that got me it is my fave!
ReplyDeleteBest one I read today...and by the way...Love You Too! Thanks for enduring the long post. Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYou're speaking my language! I love the ocean, but living in Michigan, only see it when we're on vacation. I dream about it.
ReplyDeleteYou are really good at these!
ReplyDeleteBossy loves haikus
ReplyDeleteEven more than she loves wine
OK that's a lie.
I always enjoy Wednesday and the haikus.

ReplyDelete"The water is wide ---
ReplyDeleteI cannot cross o'er, neither
have I wings to fly"
"Give me a boat that
can carry two, and we will
row, my love and I"
I didn't realize the old folk song is a "double haiku" but your canoe haiku is so lovely and it reminded me!
You are amazing and inspiring!
