Silly Haiku Wednesday

Poetry slam time again!
Jenn's theme this week is
WATER.

Rain spatters against
the leaves; the wooded path
leads me on toward sun.

The ocean lulls me
to restful peace; then, I can
let the loud world go.

Sometimes -- just sometimes,
I long for a canoe, and
one true companion.

  5. You're speaking my language! I love the ocean, but living in Michigan, only see it when we're on vacation. I dream about it.

  9. "The water is wide ---
    I cannot cross o'er, neither
    have I wings to fly"

    "Give me a boat that
can carry two, and we will
    row, my love and I"

I didn't realize the old folk song is a "double haiku" but your canoe haiku is so lovely and it reminded me!

    You are amazing and inspiring!
