Straight to the source
The last door of the Advent calendar opens to reveal the Holy Bible. Today (tonight, really) is when our family goes right to the source: the Gospels according to St. Luke and St. Matthew.
Every Christmas Eve, I read aloud the story of Jesus's birth from Luke. And then I read an excerpt from a book about Santa that was in the Washington Post in 1990. Looking at your side menu here, makes me want to start reading The Tale of Three Trees, one of my favorites! Thanks and Merry Christmas, 21st Century Housewife!

ReplyDeleteVery nice, Liz. I really enjoyed reading your choices.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys have snow coming, but I know that your Boxing Day party is more reliable than the US mail. Have fun.
