Is it bad . . . ?

Is it bad that as I look out my kitchen window (as I stand at my sink, in classic "Diary of a Mad Housewife" fashion), it appears that one of our three cats has . . . how shall I put this? . . . taken a dump in the deck chairs?

Does it make it better or worse that I choose to believe that this is an acorn collection -- yeah, that's it! An acorn collection. Oh, please, dear God -- let it be an acorn collection. And is it a good thing or a bad thing that I have made a decision NOT TO FIND OUT?

OK. A bad thing. I guess I should investigate. Oh, please. Oh, please.

Score! Acorns!

Is it bad that I truly wasn't sure how this post was going to end . . . ? Don't answer that.

  2. Pets... why do we have them again? I have to go to the vet today to pick my dog's record so I can take them with us next week to see the specialist. Am I the only one in the world who thinks it's squicky that they call out my dog's name with my last name attached as if she's my child? I'm tempted to tell them that she's adopted and has a different last name, except that I think they may think I'm serious.

  3. I had my fingers crossed it was acorns. This is so funny because EVERYONE that has had a pet has had the exact same moment. We are so good at living in denial:) I bet kitty got an extra helping of catnip after you discovered it was indeed acorns. Love all of the beautiful trees in your yard by the way. Gorgeous! 5. LOL! I can totally relate. I go through the same thing on a weekly basis when I go to wake my daughters in the morning and spot something small, dark and round on the carpet. Is it fake blackberry from the play-kitchen? Is it discarded end of a bagel? Or has Pancho, our cute, but not perfectly house trained Chipugua, left us a morning treat?
