I am just so touched.

On Saturday, while I was immersed in the drama of my son's health crisis, kindness and love were flowing all around me and I didn't even know it. The lovely Willoughby, over at This Stop Willoughby, has given me this award, called The Friends Award -- which is just so kind that I am a little overwhelmed. I am late in thanking Willoughby, but it certainly is not because I am not grateful.

Here's what I am supposed to tell you about this award (and I quote):

*This award is bestowed on blogs that are exceedingly charming.

*These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.

*They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.

*Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. *Please give more attention to these writers.

*Deliver this award to other bloggers who must choose others to pass it on to and include this *Cleverly-written* text into the body of their award.

Isn't that just the nicest thing? And really -- while I was feeling scared and stressed, Willoughby was wrapping her kindness all around me -- and she did it without knowing how much I needed it! Can I just say that I do not believe in coincidences.

I can think of so many blogs I have encountered that are just this kind of friendly, welcoming place. Here are just a few that I think should be highlighted with a Friends Award:
I would also tell you that Karen at the art of heart has a lovely, warm and welcoming blog -- and she is taking a little break from blogging right now.

Visit these blogs and I guarantee that you will make new friends - and isn't that the point?

  1. Congrats on your award! Isn't that Willoughby great? You are too!

  2. Aren't you nice! Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. And I hope the tall boy is doing much much better. What a scary event. But the swearing thing? That made me laugh. :)

  3. You are very welcome! You are most deserving of the Friends award!

I'm so glad your son is doing well and the whole scary incident is over!

  4. YEAH for a great day, and great bloggy friends to share it with. Thrilled for you. Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com

  5. Liz,

Thanks so much for thinking of me. I sure do appreciate it. I've enjoyed reading your blog and have started following others from your blog list. It's all about sharing information. So many people have relevant things to say, including you! Thanks again for taking the time to highlight my blog. Can't wait to pass it on...

    Take care,

  6. Congratulations on your award - and thank you for mine too! It's great how one blog leads to many more, it's great to 'meet' new people and discover new and interesting blogs. I'll have a think about who to pass this onto next...
    Thanks again,

  7. The awards are flying around at the moment aren't they, its so lovely to have so many warm fuzzies. Certainly deserved on your behalf.
